From humble beginnings as a travel agent and intrepid worldwide traveller, James has spent the last six years developing Hidden Britain in the South East. He has worked extensively with rural communities and is an expert in community development. James leads the Hidden Britain team and works closely with communities and volunteers, planning and structuring projects, sourcing funding, conducting workshops, presenting conferences and everything else it takes to see a local project come to fruition.
James holds a degree in Physical Geography from the University of Sussex, is a member of the Tourism Society, is incredibly creative and remains fascinated by the landscape, history and undiscovered corners of South East England.
Claudia completed an MSc in Tourism, Conservation and Sustainable Development in 2001 and since has gained valuable experience in sustainable tourism whilst working with communities, businesses and NGOs in the UK. She has also worked in developing world countries, including Madagascar and Rwanda on projects that identify tourism potential and promote understanding of and good practice in responsible tourism.
Claudia enjoys working with volunteers and businesses in our communities and helping them benefit from a well-managed visitor economy. She enjoys exploring and learning about beautiful areas of the country and meeting and working with inspirational people who share her interest in sustainable tourism.
