‘Let the Elham Valley work its natural magic’

Welcome to the Elham Valley, a stunning, naturally created landscape just perfect for country breaks. Gently stretching between the cathedral city of Canterbury and coastal Hythe and Folkestone, it is so easy to reach – yet a tranquil world away from the 24/7 hustle of life.

Discover the undiscovered: unspoilt chalk grassland, woodland and time-honoured farming in a scene that follows the Elham Valley Way and the source of the Nailbourne – these quiet waters eventually feed into the Lesser Stour and Great River Stour. Beautiful views, wildlife and peace offer visitors a genuine haven.

There is a plentiful supply of fresh local produce that is served by traditional pubs and restaurants, local farm shops and a twice-monthly farmers’ market. Elham Valley Vineyard also produces a fine selection of Kentish wines.

Hidden Britain’s Elham Valley

Hidden Britain is a community-focussed, not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to helping businesses, residents, community groups and local authorities come together to develop the tourism potential within their community.

We worked with the people who want to share what they love about Elham and helped them develop an effective business and marketing strategy that would attract visitors to their village and share the experiences they enjoy here with others.
